West Edge Masterplan

West Edge New Lynn was developed as a strategic masterplan to assess the land value and development potential of a 12.73-hectare site within one of Auckland’s key transit-oriented growth areas. The study explored opportunities for medium- to high-density housing while supporting the long-term regeneration of New Lynn.

The framework divided the site into staged development parcels aligned with anticipated market absorption and infrastructure delivery, enabling the creation of approximately 1,400 to 1,500 new homes within a connected urban environment.

The project demonstrates GCA Studio’s capability in large-scale residential masterplanning, combining development feasibility, staged delivery and sustainable urban growth strategies.
