The Hotel Grand Chancellor (Christchurch) proposed for this important CBD northeast corner site comprises a nine-story building (including the ground floor) with an additional rooftop plant totalling just over 10,600 m² of GFA. The building form generated by the underlying and very different functions to be contained within the building has produced a three-story podium containing all the commercial / hospitality, parking and service functions, with a six-story tower containing the 180 hotel rooms above that.
