Manukau Bus Train Interchange
Graham Crust served as Project Architect for Manukau Bus Station, a local and regional transport hub shaped by the culture and heritage of Manukau. Repeating kite-inspired roof forms define a generous central concourse, creating strong visual and physical connections between Putney Way and the bus platforms.
A tapered plan draws passengers through the building, bringing clarity, daylight and a welcoming civic character to an otherwise long, low and narrow footprint. The architecture responds to the movement of people through the station, creating a legible and engaging gateway to Manukau.
