Farmers Tauranga

Farmers Tauranga was a mixed-use retail and residential development comprising a three-storey retail podium and a 13-storey residential tower. The project was designed as an energetic urban destination, combining large-format retail, specialty shopping, and apartment living in a single integrated development.

The retail podium included a Farmers department store, a supermarket, and a range of dedicated specialty retail tenancies, creating a strong commercial presence and activating the surrounding streetscape. Above, 106 apartments provide high-quality residential accommodation, giving residents convenient access to retail amenities and the wider city centre.

Led by Graham Crust during his tenure as a Principal at Beca, the project demonstrates the team’s ability to deliver complex mixed-use developments, balancing commercial performance, residential amenity, and urban integration to create a landmark addition to the Tauranga city centre.
