NXN Apartments
NXN is a $100 million residential development of 73 apartments and 5 terrace houses, set on the quiet Kingsland Terrace and fronting Nixon Park to the north. Developed by Templeton Group, it brings new housing to one of Auckland's most diverse and sought-after central suburbs.
The homes are designed with an international influence and a modern, understated character. They look out over Nixon Park and Arch Hill Reserve, and the whole development is organised around a shared urban plaza that gives residents a place to gather at the heart of the community.
Concrete defines the building's construction, giving it a robust, enduring presence. Inside, this is softened by plastered surfaces, perforated louvres and generous natural light, which keep the interiors personable and give a larger building the feel of a boutique address. Large balconies suit entertaining, while solid dividing walls preserve each household's privacy.
Graham Crust, then a Principal at Beca, was involved in the project from concept design through to construction.
